Why We Rely on PCR
We work with PCR (polymerase chain reaction) methods because, compared to classical microbiology, they offer significant advantages — accuracy, sensitivity, and speed. A PCR test is ready in 1-2 days, compared to 7-10 days for microbiological testing. The technology detects fungi, viruses, bacteria, and phytoplasmas in any part of a plant — shoot, leaf, or root — sensing as few as 2-5 genome copies per reaction.
